John Whiteside Blackburn letters to Adeline Blackburn [manuscript], 1868.

Whiteside, University of Virginia, writes to his sister Addie, 1868 February 26, conveying family news. He also comments on the impeachment trial of Andrew Johnson, stating that things will get worse. In a letter, 1868 March 29, he writes to Addie concerning Washington Society elections in which he and "Jeff" Davis of Mississippi, a nephew of the Confederate president, were elected president and vice-president.
