Contains 39 pieces of lute music of mostly unattributed composers, most in French lute tablature (leaves 3r-21r); recipes and remedies for hawks, horses and the household; a note of money owed to Giles Lodge, 1591 (leaf 1v); instructions on the making of wills, 1559; some verse; and an unattributed grammar school play in five acts, A new comedy of Juli and Julian (starts leaf 94). Three pieces of lute music are attributed to Charles Jackson, William Hewes and Thomas Dallis.
