Letter, 1845 Feb. 15.

Letter written by Ohio state senator C.W. O'Neal to James H. Barr, auditor of Hancock County, Ohio, includes on the first page a clerical copy of "An act to authorize the Commissioners of Hancock County to subscribe to the capital stock of Mad River and Lake Erie rail road company ..." for an amount sufficient to build a branch from its main track to the town of Findlay, and to issue bonds to cover the same, provided that a majority of the county's voters approve of the idea in the April general election. In his letter on the third page of the 4-page lettersheet, O'Neal reports the status of the bill and points out voting rights and liabilities of residents of Hancock County and the newly formed Wyandot County.
