The Mrs. J. E. Engstad Papers consist of a manuscript entitled The White Kid Glove Era, a paper presented to the Franklin Club of Grand Forks in 1941. Annotations to the paper were added in 1972. The subject of the paper regarded reminiscences of early Grand Forks, from 1880 to 1900.

The Thursday Music Club was organized 1898 to "promote the knowledge and enjoyment of good music." The first members included: Mrs. C. T. Kittredge, President; Mrs. W. A.
