Bernard Daly (1858-1920) was a Lake County, Or. judge. He also served in the Oregon House of Representatives and State Senate. The collection comprises correspondence, legal documents, speeches, typescripts of printed material, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, artifacts, broadsides, and photographs, all relating to Bernard Daly. The correspondence comprises primarily love letters from Daly to Pearl Hall, written from 1900 to 1919.

Bernard Daly, born in Ireland in 1858, immigrated to America with his family, graduated from Ohio State Normal School in 1886 and from the University of Kentucky Medical Dept. in 1887. Later that year he moved to Lakeview, Or. Daly was a member of the Oregon House of Representatives and the State Senate from 1892 to 1900.
