Two Des Moines boys, while in high school, wrote an operetta in 1947 with 24 original songs. A St. Louis sports writer sent Chapman, former manager of the Phillies, a copy of the script which led to the two boys becoming guests of the Philadelphia Club in August of 1948 while in Chicago. Collection includes operetta, music, newspaper clippiongs and correspondence.
