After graduating from Brown University, William Paterson served with the army in Europe during World War II. After the war Mr. Paterson joined the Cleveland Playhouse. He left the Playhouse at the invitation of ACT founder William Ball in 1967. He remained a member of ACT's acting ensemble for 30 years.
