Records, 1903-1948.

The major part of the collection consists of correspondence, 1903-1948 (Bulk dates: 1903-1912; 1937-1945). Also included are some financial, shipping, and miscellaneous records, 1903-1948. The correspondence reveals a great deal about the developing Far Eastern trade, flour consumption in the Inland Empire markets, and the economics of buying and selling wheat and flour. After the San Francisco earthquake and fire of 1906, several firms ordered large quantities of flour to supply the citizens of the devastated city.
