Abstract from the protest [affidavit made by master of vessel before magistrate, notary public, or consul defending his actions against possible claims. Information in protest is substantiated by extracts from ship's log] of a voyage from Cronstadt to Boston in 1862. Heavy weather was encountered, and ship put into Queenstown where damaged cargo was sold and repairs were made. Voyage then continued to Boston. 34 pages deal with surveyors record of damage, repairs made, and general average contributions done in Boston.
