Abstract of title (covering period from 1812 to 1929) originally granted by the Spanish Governor Sebastián Kindelan, to John Russell in payment for a schooner; extracts of Charles W. Bulow's will (1824) from Charleston, S.C.; petition to the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives by William G. Bucknor for the reparation of the Bulow plantation losses, including his itemized list of properties destroyed or stolen and their values and depositions taken in 1836 and 1837 from, among others, Maj. Benjamin A. Putnam, Douglas Dummett, and Francis Pellicer, overseer of the plantation; two U.S. Senate reports from the Committee on Claims, congressional document #76 (1846) and congressional document #253 (1851); five letters (1892-1893) from John Wedderburn, general manager of Examiner Bureau of Claims, requesting that he represent the Bucknor heirs in a new claim; congressional document #139; "An act to provide for the adjudication and payment of claims arising from Indian depredations," 3 Mar. 1891; family correspondence including eighteen letters from members of the Bucknor family on personal, family, and business matters (fourteen of these letters are addressed to William F. (Frank) Bucknor); and Spanish land grant issued to George Anderson, adjacent to Bulow's property.
