Correspondence, business and corporate records, technical studies, and other papers (chiefly 1933-1952), relating to the Minnie Moore silver mine near Belleuve, Idaho, with which Rockwell was associated as operator or owner from 1901 to 1943; together with personal correspondence, correspondence relating to U.S. monetary policy and silver, historical writings by Rockwell, newspaper clippings chronicling his career, and other personal and business papers. Includes extensive research correspondence Rockwell conducted while writing his book, The Saga of American Falls Dam (1947); an account book (1921-1923) of the Idaho Reclamation Association, which supported the building of the dam; corporate records of the Minnie Moore Mines Company and Minnie Moore Mine Development Company; several files on the Triumph Mine, near Hailey, Idaho; and a small collection formerly known as the Rockwell-Darrow collection consisting of a letter (1933) to Rockwell from Clarence Darrow discussing Christianity and expressing his disagreement with its theology, letter (1933) from Rockwell in return explaining his Christian Science beliefs, and letter (1936) to Rockwell from Darrow's wife, Ruby Darrow. Other correspondents include Robert T. Walker of Leadville, Colorado (who purchased the Minnie Moore Mine in 1943), and U.S. Senator William E. Borah.
