Materials in the John Phillip Santos papers fall into three general categories: Santos's work as a documentary and media producer, his work as an author and journalist, and materials relating to his tenure as a television executive and program office at the Ford Foundation running the Foundation's media grant making program. Materials include research notebooks, edited manuscripts (drafts for publication), reviews, clippings, and audiovisual materials including video tapes and sound recordings.
