Peck of New Britain, ca. 1880-1890, many regarding Women's Foreign Mission work, especially in South America; records of the Ladies' Missionary Society at a church in New Britain, ca. 1883; diaries, 1866-1867 written by Anna J. Smith; Helen Vibberts' birth and marriage certificates; and a short letter from Panama, 1929, reportedly carried on Lindberg's flight.

Born Anna Jackson in 1913, Anna Jackson Smith attended East Rutherford High School in New Jersey where she distinguished herself on the "Wonder-Girls" Basketball Team of the late 20s and early 30s as the team's center. The team amassed 104 consecutive victories over a seven-year span, a nationwide record, until 1933 when the Board of Education banned competitive sports for girls.
