ArchivalResource

Rough notes on Shakespeare in the hand of Edmond Malone [manuscript], 18th-19th century.

Rough drafts of notes on Shakespeare, mainly biographical. They are incomplete, disordered, and full of deletions, interlineations, and other additions. Many small slips are pasted to the regular numbered leaves. Many of the notes are genealogical and not clearly connected with Shakespeare; some are definitely notes on Spenser.
