References to end of Revolutionary War in America and a resumption of relations between Britain and America; wishes to be remembered to Samuel Emlen and other Friends; wishes to understand the position of trade between their two countries; during the war, trade with Canada became important and Barclay has advised caution in embarking again on business with Philadelphia and New York on any extensive scale on credit as formerly. His nephew Robert Barclay has become involved in the Porter Brewery business and the weather, which has been poor, will affect this and other such businesses. A Meeting for Sufferings minute notes the Friends who may contribute to alleviate suffering of Friends in Savannah who were forced to evacuate.
