(1940); area counselor with the National Youth Administration in Texas (1940-1941); president of the League of Women Voters in Austin (1945); attendance at Southern Methodist University law school (1947-1952); prosecutor in the district attorney's office in Dallas (1954-1956); chairman of the Family Law Council of the Texas Bar (1965); work on revision of the Family Code and activities in support of the Equal Legal Rights Amendment (1960s and 1970s); chairman of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association (1975); and civic activities.
