Smith entitled The Woodrack: hauling cordwood to the ore or stamp mills in the early mining days of Colo., and a photomechanical reproduction (cover picture of "An Evening at Sanderson's Station," Vol. 7 of the Western Yesterdays series by Forest Crossen) of a lampblack wash by Leonard Matejcic of Boulder, Colo. These drawings may have been drawn in the 1970s.
