Bohemian and cedar waxwings. [ca. 1910]

This envelope contains a colored glass lantern slide showing two mounted waxwings. The label beneath the name of the bohemian waxwing states "Boulder, Colo. 1905 L.C. Bragg. Winter visitor in Colo. Erratic in its movements." The label underneath the cedar waxwing reads "Wisconsin. H.F. Watts. Not common in Colo."

Hugh Fraser Watts was born in Wisconsin in 1870. He and his mother moved to the Boulder, Colorado, area in 1897 for health reasons. An assayer and a chemist, he married Claribel Austin in 1898 and died in Boulder in 1946. He was the father of Nina A. Watts. From the description of Hugh F.
