This folder holds historical notes that Parsons wrote or received ca. the 1950s, incl. a letter dated 15 June 1890 from Harry Chase of Boulder mentioning Parsons, a transcript of remarks in 1907 by H. S. Hurd, president of the Colorado Pioneer Society, Parsons' 1952 transcript of his sister Minnie Chaffee's notes on a trip from Boulder to Middle Park in June 1910, and transcripts from the 1867 Rocky Mtn. News and the 1953 Junction City Union centennial edition.

George F. Chase arrived in Boulder, Colorado, in July 1859. He was one of the first settlers of the town. He and his wife Augusta had five children; only their son Frederick survived them.
