This folder contains various handwritten historical research notes that Parsons wrote in about the 1950s. They include a letter Parsons wrote with historical facts, a list of the first people to camp at Boulder, Colo., historical facts about ranches in Boulder County, autobiographical notes by Parsons, research notes on land claims and mining claims, several family histories, lists of madams and saloons in early Boulder and death dates of early settlers of Colorado. This folder also contains a small list of the names of persons who rode in a coach in the 1909 Boulder semicentennial parade, notes about early surveys of the Gunnison region by Dr. F.V. Hayden and Dr. John Parsons, notes on Fort Massachusetts, replaced by Fort Garland, notes on early businessmen, and a transcript of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce's recognition of Parsons' long civic service on 13 Nov. 1958.
