Recollections of Chief Buckskin Charlie 1940 Aug. 31.

This folder contains a 6-page carbon copy typed transcript of a KOA radio program on 31 Aug. 1940 in which Eben Fine discussed his acquaintance with the Ute Indians and his friendship with Chief Buckskin Charlie that resulted from Fine's work in bringing a group of Ute Indians to Boulder to help celebrate the city's fiftieth anniversary in 1909. Fine used some of this material for a chapter in his Remembered Yesterdays (Boulder, Colo.: Johnson Publishing Company 1957), p. 27-49.
