Miss Antoine was born in Denver, Colo., and became a Metropolitan Opera, concert, and radio star. She sang before 1, 500 people at Macky Auditorium during her senior year at the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1929. Her debut at the Met was on 4 Jan. 1936. She died at age 64. Non-profit organization founded in 1931 to manage and preserve the Central City Opera House located in Central City, Colo. and to direct annual summer opera festivals. Heirs of Peter McFarlane, who owned the Opera House prior to 1931, donated the building to the University of Denver in 1931.
