Diary 1891-1892.

This is a daily account of a retired farmer's life, 21 April 1891 - 30 June 1892. Bateman had sold his farm in June 1890 for $9,500, and was living at Brainard's Hotel. Though he often had nothing to record other than the weather, he faithfully kept his diary. Bateman attended the M.E. Church in Boulder, and witnessed the cornerstone laying for its second church building on 1 December 1891.
