This collection comprises the official records of the Boulder Club, contained in a book of minutes and 11 folders of loose papers that document the proceedings and status of the club. The loose papers originally were filed in the minute book; the numbers of the pages next to which they were filed has been written on the back of the papers.

The Boulder Club was incorporated in December 1889 "for social purposes." Organized on 13 January 1887, the club first met in rooms over the Maupin store in the Berlin block in Boulder. In February 1891, property at Twelfth (now Broadway) and Spruce was purchased from a Mr. Dittmer, and the clubhouse was constructed in the early 1890s.
