The collection contains three genealogies by Amos Shinkle Abbott and correspondence, notes and newspaper clippings collected during his research. His notes include wills, and military and census records, which he transcribed. In addition to the Abbott, Jones and Courvoisier-Matthews families, there is information about the Baum, David, Freeze, Gustin, Linville, Melone, Shinkle and Watson families. The collection also contains a small amount of correspondence of Clyde and Marguerite Abbott and schoolwork of Amos and Dora Abbott. Genealogies by Lydia A. Boswell and Marie Louise McLaughlin are included.
