Neva D. Baker was born in Ritzville in 1906. She worked as a commercial teacher at Idaho State College for 28 yrs, then as a secretary for the mediator in the WA State Department of Labor & Industries in Spokane. She was a published author from age 11 and was active in the Spokane Chapter of Composers, Authors & Artists of America.
