Concerning the poor health of Severn, and the "slow and steady improvement" in the health of Alexander's "Mammina," Lucia Gray Swett Alexander, who "is trying to get well as fast as she can, because she wants to see [Severn]" (when she visits Italy in the spring). Mentioning her Christ's Folk in the Apennine, and that, if it is ever republished, Alexander's "Fratello," John Ruskin "might like to put in a note" about the "the Superiora's last hours ... just to show how such a life ends." Also mentioning that the Alexanders have received from Mr. Allen "all the published photographs from [Alexander's] Roadside songs."
