Asking her to come over after dark "when you would only have to throw a shawl over your head ... and come straight up to my bedroom without having to see or speak to anybody"; explaining that she has been confined to the house by illness; noting that she hopes the doctor will allow her to go out soon so she can visit Anne Gilchrist.
