Asking Furniss to change Lady Muriel's mouth and sleeves in an illustration for Sylvie and Bruno concluded; noting that he thinks "these high-shouldered sleeves are the worst things invented for ladies in our time" except the "unapproachable ugliness of crinoline"; reporting that [Joseph] Swain is "hard at work cutting" the engravings for the book.
