This collection contains a survey and a plat of land on the south fork of Elkhorn Creek in Fayette County, Kentucky, granted to Samuel McDowell, a Kentucky judge who served as president of the 1792 constitutional convention. The group contains an 1798 document from Fayette County surveying McDowell's land near Elkhorn Creek and an undated plat of lands entered in his name in 1782.
