Papers of Sergeant Nelson E. Heaton, relate to his service in the American Expeditionary Forces, 1st Infantry Division, 26th Infantry Regiment, Co. M. Included are Heaton's Individual pay record book; a card of the First Division; a 5-page Brief history of operations of 1st Division with Station list of company "M" 26th Infantry, since organized, Jan. 11/18; and a letter of March 11, 1935 from former company "M" Captain Walter R. McClure with enclosed 6-page passenger list of Co. M soldiers returning from France to New York.
