Lee Cochran papers, 1907-1989.

This collection includes financial records; photographs (1940s-1993); essays; war time correspondence between Greta and Lee (1943); and newspaper clippings. Some materials are related to other Cochran family members, most notably diaries and papers of Robert Cochran (1930s-1940s) and some family financial records. The collection includes 2 reels of family home movies (1931-1932).

Lee Cochran worked for Iowa's Extension Division while in high school, assisting schools and organizations in the Midwest with 16 mm films and glass slides. In 1923 he began working for Visual Services at the University of Iowa. Cochran served in the Navy during World War II and worked with the Training Aids Division of the Bureau of Naval Personnel.
