Scenes of penitent activity of members of Hermanos Penitentes, or the Penitente Brotherhood, in New Mexico. Also depicted are penitent crosses and adobe structures (moradas?). Taken from a distance, with majority of images depicting penitentes bearing crosses in outdoor desert setting. Does not include images of crucifixions or self-flagellation.
