Born in Waverly, Iowa. Artist and professor. Blanche Marie Gallagher, BVM was born Patricia Mary Jane Gallagher, in Waverly, Iowa, to Blanche (Jacobson) and J.J. Gallagher. She entered the order of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM). Sr. Blanche Marie earned a B.A. from Mundelein College and an M.F.A from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
