Vietnam War veterans interviews, 1981.

Transcripts of interviews with 17 veterans of the Vietnam War, including officers and enlisted men in the Air Force, Army and Marines. They discussed their basic training experience, their first impressions of Vietnam, racism, abuse of alcohol, the black market, the towns they visited or in which they were based, and the battles in which they were engaged. Several talked about their adjustment to life back in America and their perceptions of the anti-war protests at home while they were in Vietnam. Two men spoke about their earlier experiences in World War II and Korea.
