Letters, chiefly 1919-1964, written to Julia Gardiner Tyler Wilson (1881-1965) of Charlottesville, Va. Most of the letters are written by Mary Haldane Begg Coleman (1875-1967) of Williamsburg, Va. Other correspondents include Janet Coleman Kimbrough, Mary H.B. Coleman's daughter and Alida Wilson Davidson, the daughter of Julia Gardiner Tyler Wilson. The collection includes scrapbooks concerning the Tyler and Tucker families. There are family photographs and a collection of medals awarded to James Southall Wilson. Subjects covered by the papers include the Restoration of Colonial Williamsburg, the College of William and Mary, World War I, World War II, Begg and Tucker genealogy and life in Williamsburg. There is one letter written by Woodrow Wilson while president of Princeton University.
