Handwritten reminiscences, 31 pages, probably written at the turn of the century, describing Boyle's military experiences on the Umatilla Indian Reservation in Eastern Oregon. He also describes his brief experience traveling to Fort Whipple in 1871, then an engagement at Sycamore Canyon against the Tonto Apaches in Yavapai County, Ariz.
