Biographical Note Born in the Bronx and educated at UCLA, Keen arrived in San Diego in 1936 as a reporter for The San Diego Sun. He later became a reporter for The San Diego Union, a contributing editor of San Diego Magazine, and the editorial director for KFMB-TV.
