William R. Harper letter to Prof. H. H. Boyesen [manuscript], 1891 Feb 26.

Harper writes to thank Boyesen for his information about the present occupant of the French department in Columbia, and assures him that his words will be kept strictly confidential. He then moves on to ask Boyesen if he "might be induced to go to Chicago," as the outlook there is good and Boyesen could have a hand in shaping it. He gives a number of reasons why moving to Chicago is a good idea and asks Boyesen to reply.
