Collection of photographs and newspaper clippings concerning marine aviation and underwater photography. Subjects covered include Eugene Ely, Curtiss Aircraft and the historic November 14, 1910, first ship-to-shore flight, which Ely made from the USS Birmingham while docked in Hampton Roads, Va. Also in the collection are photographs of the wreck site of a blockade runner in the Bahamas taken by John Ernest Williamson, the first successful underwater photographer.
