Letter, 1937 June 2, New York, to Edward Larocque Tinker, New York, N.Y.

Compliments Tinker on his knowledge of New Orleans and the Creole culture and thus excuses his own interest in the "extremely odd" subject of old playing cards; notes that he is sending, under separate cover, a copy of his new book on war cards, special commemorative playing cards that have been issued in connection with various wars; mentions that Tinker is partially responsible for the book since Cary had published Tinker's own "The Palingenesis of Craps."
