(1) thanks Mrs. Crum for her and Mr. Crum's hospitality at Aberdeen, and he indicates the role Mr. Crum has in establishing the reputation of a Meeting. Also mentions meeting up with Sir W. Hamilton on the train. (2), to Thomson, concerns the unexpected death of Mr. Crum of Burly, whom Joule had recently seen.
