Autograph letter signed from Samuel Timmins, Birmingham, to Clement Mansfield Ingleby [manuscript], 1883 September 7.

Timmins discusses an "impudent" charge by the mayor which he thinks Ingleby should refute. Refers to the Gazette and John Rabone's letter, to which Timmins writes that he has replied. On letterhead from Elvetham Lodge, Birmingham. With a clipping of Rabone's letter to the Editor of the Daily Gazette on the topic of Ingleby's book, Shakespeare's bones. Date of clipping written at the top: Sept. 7, 1883.
