Collection contains printed notification to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors of bond issue by the Central Pacific Railroad Company signed by Leland Stanford and dated Sep. 22, 1864; official verification that the attached order providing for issue of bonds to Central Pacific Railroad Company was published in the Daily Alta California from June 15-June 19, 1864, dated Dec. 17, 1864; and a note on letterhead of the Board of Supervisors, San Francisco dated Dec. 19, 1864 certifying that the attached "Order no. 582" is on file, signed by Jas. W. Bingham, clerk. Also includes a printed Fourth District Court order relating to Wm. J. Shaw et al vs. Henry P. Coon et al, announcing a hearing on Sep. 6, 1864.
