Representative Thomas J. Anderson collection.

This collection consists of recreational bond materials, arranged alphabetically, collected by Rep. Thomas J. Anderson, for the years 1969-1973. Anderson was a prime mover behind the effort to prepare a recreational bond program that was acceptable to Michigan voters. One of his major problems was to create a balanced mix of allocations to rural and urban regions. The records created as a result of his efforts to fairly treat the needs of these two competing interests, and to devise a program of construction for leisure-time facilities in their respective areas, constitutes the holdings of this collection.
