The collection contains correspondence, research materials, typescripts, galleys, photographs, and publicity material for twenty-one books on various subjects including non-fiction about wheelchair athletes such as The sweat & the gold (1984), Wheelchair champions (1978); and fiction about disabled teenagers such as Fly, wheel, fly (1970); A girl's best friend (1995); The lionhearted (1985); On the move (1973); and Run, don't walk (1979). Other titles represented in the collection are: The bullies and me (1991); The cats nobody wanted (1989); Come back, Mr. Magic (1993); Consider--understanding disability as a way of life (1975); Growing up at 62 (1997); Ich bin ein meadchen--na und? (1997); If you can't be the sun, be a star (1991); The moon is mine (1968); The pail of nails (1980); Peter, and other stories (1969); Remembering Norm (1995); Summer's end (1984); Swimmer (1986); and Wait until tomorrow (1981). The collection also includes numerous articles about handicapped persons and issues affecting them.
