Account book, 1875-1904, Kershaw County, of black merchant and farmer documenting records of monies loaned, debts owed, merchandise bought and sold, and records of monthly expenditures. Including entry, 1 Jan. 1880, Lydia Grooms in debt to Robert Qualls for five bushels of corn; entry, 1 Oct. 1894, receipt of payment from Ed[ward] Outer for fertilizer and supplies; entry, Feb. 1904, re Qualls' agreement to provide Bolden Simons land, tools, and a mule to sharecrop land.
