Contains correspondence, but chiefly consists of records concerning operations and finances of John Swett & Son, owners of Hill Girt Farm and Hill Girt Winery in Martinez, Calif. Of particular interest are the daybooks and ledger which record wine purchased by John Muir. Includes samples of John Swett & Son grape juice labels; a few ledger cards for accounts of the Italian Hotel, Martinez; and a newspaper clipping about John Swett.
