Papers, 1935-1997.

The bulk of the collection consists of production files for films made and distributed by the IFB. Production files may include scripts, correspondence, shot logs, memoranda, research notes, and other materials. The collection also contains biographical information about Greene and historical information about the IFB. Also included are IFB publicity brochures and catalogs of IFB films and videos. Approximately eighty films made or distributed by the IFB are held in the American Archives of the Factual Film, Special Collections Department, Iowa State University Library.

Film distributor and producer. Wesley Hammond Greene (1907-1997) received his M.A. from the University of Virginia, and founded the International Film Bureau (IFB) in 1937 in Chicago, Illinois. Greene produced and distributed 16mm educational films for use in K-12 and colleges and universities.
