Clark Burdine letter book.

Burdine was on ordnance service for the U.S. Army in Northwest or Michigan Territory. The book contains copies of letters and orders from the Secretary of War, February 14, 1817 to August 21, 1823, relating to lead mine lands and names and residences of persons who applied for, and dates of leases of lead mine lands. This book also contains Burdine's appointment to West Point, grades and class standing at West Point, and hearing proceedings of court of inquiry investigating charges of Burdine's being guilty of ebriety while a professor of mathematics at West Point.
